Nora has been moving from place to place and has been struggling to make it on her own. Nora being down and out and a thousand miles away from her old home with Torvald and her children, she applied for a job as female copier but was quickly turned down due to her lack of education. So Nora has started to attend a school that is teaching her on private hours and she is on a student loan. She has learned her lesson about owing people money so she thought that maybe if she gets this job she would be able to pay off the loan and any debt that she had to pay. Nora has been attending school for about a couple of months now and you would never have guessed what happened on a special day. It was December 17; the day where Nora and Torvald exchanged vows and happily became known has Mr. and Mrs. Helmer. It was their anniversary and the unexpected happened. Torvald appeared at the school that Nora has been attending. He was there because he was called to handle the schools finances. They ran into each other in the school library where Nora was busy studying. It was almost as if it was fate that these two were to meet one more time. Torvald approached Nora and immediately hugged her and began to weep. Nora was lost for words and began to also cry.
Nora and Torvald took some time to talk to one another about what has been going on in their lives. Back home, Torvald has taken up another job with financing to keep the family in a house and healthy. He explains that their dear friend Dr Rank has passed and was asked to say a couple of words at the funeral. The children have missed their mother greatly. They have been writing her little notes and letters that Nora never gets due to the fact that she has been moving from place to place without having a set home or location. It has been a heartfelt reunion between the two when finally Torvald popped the question. He asked Nora to come back to live with the family once more. He explains to her that the children miss her, the maid misses her, and most importantly HE misses her. Nora asked to give her a couple of hours to think about it but she soon realized that she has wanted to come back home from the moment she left. Torvald offered to even open up a job for his dear little skylark. Nora was finally convinced and packed her things and returned home with Torvald. As soon as she arrived home, the children ran up to her at once and gave her a huge hug and kiss. Nora in tears didn’t seem to realize that her friend Mrs. Linde was standing by the sofa with her newly wedded, Nils Krogstad. Overjoyed and excited, they all finished the evening with a nice family dinner and went on with life like she was there only yesterday. THE END.
